Privacy
Your privacy
We only collect what we need to send your order and run the shop. We don't sell your information, we don't send marketing emails, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Who looks after your information
Sensy Bliss is a trading name of RJ Goodall, a sole trader. We're the "controller" of your personal information, which means we decide how it's used. You can contact us about privacy at hello@sensybliss.co.uk or by post:
Sensy Bliss[ADDRESS TO ADD before launch]
We're registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration number ZC242463.
What we collect and why
When you buy something
Your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, what you ordered and how much you paid. We use them to take payment, send your order, deal with returns and questions, and keep the records the law requires. (Legal basis: to carry out our contract with you, and our legal duty to keep tax records.)
Your card or Klarna details go straight to Stripe and Klarna. We never see or store them.
Review request
About 10 days after your order, we may send you one email asking how it went, with a private link to leave a review. Apart from the reminders below, which you have to ask for, we don't send any other emails unless they're about your order. If you'd rather not get the review email, email us. If you leave a review, we publish your rating, what you wrote, and your first name with the first letter of your surname. (Legal basis: our legitimate interest in showing honest reviews.)
Reminders you ask for
Basket reminder: if you tick "Email me a reminder if I don't finish paying" in your basket, we keep your email address and what's in your basket. If you haven't paid about 3 hours later, we send you one email with a link back to your basket. We delete it after 14 days. Back in stock: if you ask us to email you when a sold-out product is back, we keep your email address and which product it is, send one email when it's back, then delete it. If it hasn't come back within 90 days, we delete it anyway. You can cancel either at any time by emailing us. (Legal basis: your consent, given when you ask for the reminder.)
Gift vouchers
The buyer's name and email address, the recipient's name and email address, any message, and the voucher's balance and use. We use them to send the voucher and keep track of what's been spent. (Legal basis: to carry out our contract with the buyer.)
When you email us
Your email address and whatever you tell us, so we can reply and help. (Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you, or our contract with you if it's about an order.)
Affiliates
If you apply to be an affiliate: your name, email address, the website or social media account you gave us, your message, your password (stored scrambled, so even we can't read it), the commission you've earned, and the bank details you give us for payments. (Legal basis: to carry out our affiliate agreement with you.) Affiliates never see the names or orders of customers who used their link.
Keeping the site safe
Our web host and Cloudflare, which protects the site from attacks, see your internet (IP) address and the pages you ask for. They keep it for a short time to keep the site working and secure. (Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure website.)
Counting visits
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits: which pages are viewed, which website sent you here, roughly which country you're in, and what kind of device and browser you use. It doesn't use cookies or save anything in your browser, and doesn't recognise you on later visits or follow you to other websites, so it can't tell us who you are. (Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing how the shop is used, so we can improve it.)
Who we share it with
Only with the companies that help us run the shop, and only what each one needs:
- Stripe, which takes your payment and emails your receipt, and Klarna if you choose to pay with Klarna.
- Our UK warehouse and supplier, which packs and sends your order. It gets your name, delivery address, phone number and email address.
- Royal Mail or the courier delivering your parcel, which may text or email you about delivery.
- Our web host (Namecheap), where the shop and its records are kept, our email provider, and Cloudflare (which also counts our visits).
- Product photos load from our supplier's image server, which sees your IP address in the same way any website you visit does.
- The police, HMRC or other authorities, if the law requires it.
Some of these companies store information outside the UK, for example in the USA. When they do, the transfer is protected by UK-approved safeguards, such as the UK–US "data bridge" or the standard contract clauses approved for use in the UK.
How long we keep it
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Orders and payments | 6 years after the order, because tax law requires it |
| Gift vouchers | 6 years after the voucher is bought (vouchers last 2 years) |
| Published reviews | While the product is on sale, or until you ask us to remove yours |
| Basket reminders | 14 days |
| "Back in stock" requests | Until the email is sent, or 90 days if the product doesn't come back |
| Emails with us | Up to 2 years, or 6 years if they're about an order |
| Affiliate account and payments | 6 years after your last payment |
Cookies and your browser
We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The site saves a few small things in your own browser to make the shop work. They aren't sent to us unless you check out:
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Your basket | Remembers what you've added | Until you check out or clear your browser |
| Basket reminder | Only if you ask for a reminder: a random code linking this browser to it, so paying cancels it | Until you pay or clear your browser |
| Gift voucher code | Remembers a code you've entered in the basket | Until you close the tab |
| Affiliate link | Only if you say yes when you arrive through an affiliate's link: credits them if you buy | 30 days |
| "Not now" for the affiliate question | So we don't ask again on this visit | Until you close the tab |
| Animation paused | Remembers if you paused the moving seasonal decorations | Until you clear your browser |
| Login cookie | Only for affiliates who log in to their account | 30 days |
| Cloudflare security cookie | May be set to tell real visitors from bots | Up to 30 minutes |
You can change your affiliate link choice at any time with "Affiliate link choices" at the bottom of every page. Stripe's checkout page sets its own cookies to process your payment securely and prevent fraud. They're covered by Stripe's privacy policy.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you
- correct anything that's wrong
- delete your information, unless we have to keep it (for example, order records for tax)
- stop or limit how we use it, or object to us using it
- send your information to you or another company in a common format
Email hello@sensybliss.co.uk. It's free, and we'll reply within one month. We may need to check who you are first.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Keeping it safe
The whole site uses a secure (https) connection. Order records are kept in a private area of our server that can't be reached from the web, and our admin pages need a password. Payments are handled by Stripe, so card details never reach us. Our shop isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
